INSA Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are deemed eligible if they fulfill any one of the following criteria:

  • Candidates must be scientists in any R&D organization OR
  • Candidates can also be working as facilities in affiliated universities or colleges in India.

Note: Individuals who have availed the INSA visiting scientist program in the last year are not eligible.

INSA Fellowship Benefits

Selected Fellows will be awarded a consolidated amount of INR 30,000 per month to cover their expenses related to lodging, boarding, and traveling. The total duration of the fellowship varies from 30 days to six months (based on the nature of work)

Clinton Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to ensure that they fulfill the following criteria to be deemed eligible for the fellowship:

Clinton Fellowship Responsibilities

Selected Fellows will be working with the American India Foundation’s partner organization. Responsibilities include meeting project and human resources requirements through skill-building and sharing, training and capacity development.

Other responsibilities include program design & implementation, monitoring & evaluating, creation of business plans & strategies, action research & communication.

Clinton Fellowship Selection Process & Selection Criteria

Selection Process

  • Initially, the applications are screened and scrutinized by the AIF personnel and other stakeholders from India as well as America.
  • Grades are awarded on the basis of a numeric scale and the candidates that surpass the criteria move on to the next process – interview.

Dalai Lama Fellowship Amount

In order to fulfill the minimum requirements, a candidate must demonstrate the following through the application:

  • Be a next-generation leader who is between 20-35 years old.

  • Experience or interest in learning and practicing contemplative practices throughout the year
  • Current engagement (or well-articulated plans) for a social change project in one’s local community and sustained engagement throughout the fellowship year.

About Dalai Lama Fellowship

Dalai Lama Fellows was founded in 2010, with the authorization and support of the 14th Dalai Lama (Read the Dalai Lama’s Authorization Letter), as an independent, secular and ecumenical organization. We use an online learning platform to host our Head, Heart, Hands curriculum. The curriculum is processed through individual reading and reflection exercises, one-on-one monthly coaching, and small group learning.
