UP Veterinary Entrance Exam Application Form 2020

In order to appear for the UP Veterinary Entrance Exam aspirants have to fill the Application Form Online on upvetuniv.edu.in the Official website.  Application Form in Physical forms will not be considered and candidates have to fill the application via Online Mode. To submit the application you need to pay the Application fee. iF you fail to pay the Application Fee there are chances of your candidature being rejected.

2020 Eligibility Criteria for UP Veterinary Entrance Exam

B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Courses

Nationality: Should be an Indian Citizen(NRIs are also eligible) and must have Domicile of UP (not in the case of NRI)

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 17 yrs
  • Maximum: 25 yrs

Note: Age relaxation of 5 Years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC

Educational Qualification

  • You need to clear 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Candidates who belong to General Category and applying for B.V.Sc. and A.H degree course should have secured 50% aggregate in the qualifying exam. For the reserved category (SC/ST) 47.5% is needed in the qualifying examination.
  • NRI candidates must have passed the same subjects above up to 12th standard with 50% aggregate marks in each subject.
  • Applicants appearing in 10+2 are also eligible to apply.

M.V.Sc. and PhD Courses

Age Limit: there is no age limit

Educational Qualifications:

  • For Master’s Programme candidates should finish Bachelor’s degree(B.V.Sc. and A.H) with 6.00/10.00 or its equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage for unreserved category. Candidates belonging to the reserved category must have secured 5.5/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage.
  • For Doctoral Programme is Master’s degree (MVSc) in the concerned subject they need to get OGPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent percentage of marks for UR, OBC Candidates, 6.00/10 for SC/ST/PH Category candidates.

Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension

  • Candidates need to clear the 10+2 or intermediate from U.P. Board or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% marks for UR, OBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates.

B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D (College of Biotechnology)

  • B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology: 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks and 55% in case of SC/ST candidates with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects.

UP Veterinary Admission through Entrance Exams

PDET

  • Candidates will be provided Admission into Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension Courses only on the basis of merit list in the Pre-Diploma Entrance Test. For OBC, Unreserved Candidates the Cutoff Marks in PDT will be 45%. When it comes to SC/ST candidates it will be 35% and no other weightage is considered for admission in the Diploma Programme.

PVT

  • To get Admission into B.V.Sc. & A.H Courses aspirants have to clear the Pre-Veterinary Entrance test. Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the PVT Mains Examination Organised by the DUVASU, Mathura. Minimum Qualifying marks are separate for both Prelims and Mains. Cut Off for Unreserved and OBC is 50%, whereas it is 40% for SC/ST Candidates.

PGET

  • Admission to all the Post Graduate Programmes like M.V.Sc. & Ph.D. will be made purely on the basis of marks secured in the PG Entrance Test.  Qualifying Marks in PGET for M.V.Sc. is 50% for UR, OBC and 40% for SC/ST Candidates. For Ph.D Courses qualifying marks is 60% for UR, OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ ST Candidates.

Uttar Pradesh Veterinary Admission through Merit in Qualifying Exam

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology  /B.Sc. (Hons.) Industrial Microbiology: Admissions will be provided based on the merit in 10+2 or equivalent as per the state reservation policy. The students in Unreserved Category will fill the seats vacant in the reserved category(OBC, SC, ST). However, there will not be any relaxation given in minimum qualifying marks to such candidates.

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam Pattern 2020

It is necessary for the candidates to have prior knowledge of the Test Pattern of the Entrance Exam. Get to know the number of questions and marks allocated for each question, test duration, etc. so that you plan accordingly. PG Courses will have the questions from the Undergraduate Level. On the other hand, UG courses will have questions from physics, chemistry, zoology and botany. Question Paper will be printed in English and Hindi Language.

Candidates who cleared the PVT Prelims Examination have to appear for the PVT Mains Examination. On the basis of score in PVT Entrance Exam, you will get Admission into B.V.Sc. and A.H degree. You will get Admission into M.V.Sc and PhD Courses based on the PGET Score.  PDET Scores will be considered for the Diploma Courses.

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam Counselling 2020

Selection of the courses listed will be based on the Merit cum Reservation on the Marks obtained in the Mains Examination. Qualified aspirants will be then qualified for the Admission Process.
