Dated 23rd of June 1757. The battle of Plassey was the decisive victory of the EAST INDIA Company over the Nawab of Bengals and his French allies. It was all done under the leadership of then-governor Lord Robert Clive. The British East India Company annexed the Bengal.
This battle seized the whole control of Bengal. The belligerents were Great Britain, Bengal Subah, France. Both the parties were led by Colonel Robert Clive and Nawab Siraj ud-Daulah. Before the battle took place, the British controlled Calcutta by Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah and the Blackhole massacre.

The battle took place at northeastern India between East India Company’s major forces led by Major Hector Munro and between the combined army of Indian states including Awadh, Bengal and the Mughal empire.
The Britishers empowered over the Bengal and Bihar. They had their initial success at Battle of Plassey, which marked the end of the attempt to rule Bengal by a puppet Nawab.
