Sitaram Jindal Scholarship – Key Dates

Jindal scholarship comes under the category of round the year scholarship, which means its application line remains open throughout the year.  The eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship as and when required. However, the candidate can apply for the scholarship only once in the duration of their course.

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the receipt of Jindal scholarship, the applicants need to fulfil certain eligibility requirements like marks secured in the previous exam, family income and more. Find the details of those eligibility conditions in the table given below.

  • The applicants must be studying in class 11 and 12.
  • The male applicants must have scored at least 65% marks in the previous exam and girls must have scored a minimum 60% marks to be eligible. However, students of Karnataka and West Bengal must have secured a minimum 75% marks (in case of boys) in the last exam and 70% marks (in case of girls).
  • In case of those in employment, the annual family income must not be more than INR 4 Lakh.
  • For other students, the annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.
  • The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
2. Category ‘B’
  • The applicants must be ITI courses from any government or private institute.
  • The male candidates applying for the scholarship must have scored at least 50% marks in the last exam and female candidates must have scored a minimum 40% to be eligible.
  • In case of those in employment, the annual family income must not be more than INR 4 Lakh.
  • For other students, the annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.
  • The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
3. Category ‘C’
  • The candidates must be studying graduate and postgraduate courses to be eligible.
  • The applicants must have secured at least 65% marks (in case of boys) and 60% marks (in case of girls) in the previous exam.
  • However, students of Karnataka and West Bengal must have secured a minimum 70% marks (in case of boys) in the last exam and 65% marks (in case of girls).
  • In case of those in employment, the annual family income must not be more than INR 4 Lakh.
  • For other students, the annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.
  • The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
4. Category ‘D’
  • The candidates must be pursuing diploma courses like Civil Engg., Computer Science, Chemical, Automobile Tech., Nursing, Pharmacy & Physiotherapy and environment-related courses.
  • The applicants must have secured at least 60% marks (in case of boys) and 55% marks (in case of girls) in the previous exam.
  • In case of those in employment, the annual family income must not be more than INR 4 Lakh.
  • For other students, the annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.
  • The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
5. Category ‘E’
  • The candidates must be studying engineering, medicine and architecture courses.
  • MDS students are not eligible to avail the scholarship.
  • The applicants must have secured at least 70% marks (in case of boys) and 65% marks (in case of girls) in the previous exam.
  • However, students of Karnataka and West Bengal must have secured a minimum 75% marks (in case of boys) in the last exam and 70% marks (in case of girls).
  • In case of those in employment, the annual family income must not be more than INR 4 Lakh.
  • For other students, the annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.
  • The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
