From thousands of candidates, typically rarer than one percent are selected as Echoing Green Fellows.

Echoing Green Fellowship Stipend
The fellowship grants seed funding and assistance to more than 450 social entrepreneurs with bright ideas for cultural change to launch groundbreaking companies around the world. An allowance of $80,000 for people ($90,000 for 2- person partnerships) spent in four equal instalments covering two years.
Echoing Green Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
- Candidates must have English fluency to compete in interviews and Echoing Green functions.
- Organisation needs to be the innovative idea of the candidate.
- Organisation should be in a start-up stage. To be recognised as a start-up, the company may have been in action for up to two years, and Echoing Green’s financial assistance should qualify it as an important early funder. Candidates who have only served on their organisation on a part-time basis or have still to start the organisation are usually considered suitable.
- The organisation must be sovereign and autonomous. Organisations cannot be recommended independent or autonomous if they are started under the management of an existing organisation. The candidate must be the principal decision-maker for the organisation’s growth and management. Usually, organisations with fiscal supporters are still deemed autonomous.
- Candidates must make a full-time responsibility (minimum 35 hours per week) to the organisation’s growth for the continuation of the two-year grant. It is assumed that all elected fellows leave from their current employment to devote themselves full-time to their actions. Candidates will not be suitable for their fellowship stipend if their company is put on hold due to disagreements with their studies.
- Partnerships are applied (organisations co-founded and led by two individuals). Both allies must meet all eligibility qualifications and make a full-time dedication of no fewer than 35 hours per week to the improvement of the organisation.
- Candidates can be residents of any nationality and their companies can be based in any nation. However, candidates based in the US must have lawful status to work in the US. If Candidate are allowed to work in the US, but this state is granted to Candidate by Candidate’s current company and Candidate is only allowed to work for that company, Candidate is not likely to apply for a US-based program.
- Candidates must convey to accompany Echoing Green’s training conventions if chosen as fellows. All new fellows visit a conference in summer season the year they are chosen, as well as a winter convention for two years. Echoing Green comprises all costs related to these events and will publish the dates a few months before each conference.
