9 Don’ts to Avoid on the Last Weekend Before Exams

9 Don’ts to Avoid on the Last Weekend Before Exams

1. Don't Cram New Material: This close to the exam, trying to learn entirely new concepts will likely lead to confusion and anxiety. Focus on revising what you already know.

2. Don't Pull All-Nighters: Sleep deprivation impairs memory, focus, and cognitive function. A well-rested brain performs far better than an exhausted one. Prioritize sleep.

3. Don't Neglect Breaks: Studying for extended periods without breaks is counterproductive.  Schedule short, regular breaks to avoid burnout and maintain focus.

4. Don't Overdo Caffeine or Sugar: While these might seem like quick energy boosts, they often lead to crashes and increased anxiety. Maintain a balanced diet and stay hydrated with water.

5. Don't Isolate Yourself Completely: While focused study is important, don't completely cut yourself off from social interaction.

6. Don't Panic or Overthink: It's normal to feel some anxiety, but try to manage it. Overthinking and panicking can hinder your performance.

7. Don't Change Your Study Routine Drastically: Sticking to your established study habits in the final days provides a sense of familiarity and control, reducing anxiety.

8. Don't Compare Yourself to Others: Everyone studies differently.  Comparing your progress to others can lead to unnecessary stress and self-doubt.

9. Don't Forget Self-Care: This is crucial! Eat nutritious meals, get some light exercise, and engage in relaxing activities.
