ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ICAR APPLICATION FORM

The eligibility criteria for ICAR differs according to whether you are applying for an undergraduate course or a post-graduate course. Undergraduate or post-graduate aside, you must be a citizen of India to apply for the ICAR AIEEA.

Eligibility criteria for under-graduate courses:

  • Candidate applying must be of a minimum 16 years of age
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with 50%+ marks for OBC/General category students OR 40%+ marks for SC/ST/PWD category students
  • Subject qualifications (no backlogs/supplementary allowed):
    -Physics
    -Chemistry
    -Home science/Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture

Eligibility criteria for post-graduate courses:

  • Candidate applying must be of a minimum 19 years of age
  • Candidate must have attained a graduate degree in Agriculture with 60%+ marks for OBC/General category students OR 50%+ marks for SC/ST/PWD category students.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ICAR APPLICATION FORM

There are a few documents you will require while filling up the ICAR application form. Submitting these documents requires the following of some necessary guidelines.

  • Identity proof – it has to be a government identity card, such as a PAN card, Aadhar card, passport, etc. Such tags also prove that you are a citizen of India, hence the requirement for it to be a government ID card.
  • Scanned photograph
    • should be in JPEG/JPG format
    • should not be less than 10kb and not more than 200kb
    • coloured photo with a white background

PROCESS OF APPLYING

  • Select which course you’re applying for: under-graduate, post-graduate or doctorate, and click the appropriate link accordingly.
  • This will take you to a new page, where you either register as a new applicant or sign into the online application portal, or create a new candidate registration. If you are already registered, enter your application number, password, and the security pin to enter. If not, follow the next step.
  • Register with the details that the page will ask for, including your personal details such as name, contact number, email address, home address, etc. The website will generate an application number using which you can now sign in to the portal. Sign in.
  • Fill in all the necessary details in the application form. These include:
    • Pre-filled personal details (you filled these while registering)
    • Visible marks on body
    • Educational qualifications (which school you went to, year of passing, name of course, marks, etc.)
    • Preferences for examination city out of 87 choices
  • Once you’ve filled these details, you need to upload the following documents:

  • The next step is to legitimize your application by paying the application fee. This is the last step.
  • After filling the ICAR application form, you must await your admit card to write the entrance exam.
